This is “A Sheltering Tree” from All Through the Night – #CS104 by Bonnie Sullivan. I had fun stitching this. The package sample was stitched side to side with the variegated thread. I stitched the trunk up and down to make it more natural. Back to the lighthouse!

Take care,

Good evening, everyone,

Today I had planned to stitch all day, catching up on my TAST’s, and maybe finishing the lighthouse project. BUT, I fell asleep around 2 just after the O’s game started. Woke up cold and the game over – I think the O’s won.

So now, I am watching the Nationals play Philly, and it is still cold. I hear NY got SNOW! What is up with this weather? I had to go and flip the damper switch on the furnace from summer back to winter and turn the furnace on!

Tomorrow, Ellen and I are going to a cross stitch group meeting – Tangled Stitches. I like the fact the group meets on Sundays. Going to take the lighthouse project and stitch some more on it.

More later

Good afternoon, well, here it is Monday, again. Boy, does the week go fast. I finished the Graph of the Month – Early Winter 2012 from Summer House Sitiche Workes. It was stitched on 28 count Raw Linen Cashel Linen from Zweigart with floss from The Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works. It was meant to be stitched over 2 with two strands of floss, but I decided just to stitch it over one thread. I should of just used 1 thread instead of 2, though. Lesson learned.

My sample stitch for Stitch 64 Top Knotted Buttonhole is the next few pictures. With the reddish pictures I was trying to make a “gear” turning type of picture. Then I tried stitching 4 stitches, with 4 smaller stitches inside. The green stitches is me trying different levels, but the same spacing between each stitch. Finally, the blue stitches is me trying different sizes of stitches, and then just stitching where ever I wanted. With the blue stitches, I used 1 thread, but had to wrapped the needle a couple more times to get the knot to stay on this side of the material.

Well, that’s it for now,

Take care,

Good evening, everyone. For this week, I got REALLY tired of stitching the Lighthouse. So, I stitched some little pieces (along with the TAST).

So the last picture is my sample of Stitch 63 – Scroll Stitch. I like this stitch, but next time, I will iron the thread – it had alot of creases in it from where I wrapped it around a holder.

The next two pictures are from Seasons In Stitches – Early Spring 2013 by Lizzie Kate. It was stitched on 28 count Chime Cashel from Picture This Plus using Threadworx #1045. There were 3 egg buttons, a bunny button and a chick button from Just Another Button Company. This is the first piece that I have started and finished this year.

The next two pictures are from Graph of the Month – Winter/Early Spring 2013, Spring has Sprung – Seasons in Stitches by Thistles. It was stitched on 28 count white Jobelan using Crescent Colors Snips and Snails floss and DMC 210.

The last picture is the Graph of the Month – Early Winter 2012 from Summer House Stitche Workes. It is being stitched on 28 count Ray Linen Cashel Linen from Zweigart, with floss from The Gentle Art and Weeks Day Works. I am stitching it over 1 instead of 2.

That’s it for now, have fun.

Hey there, everyone.

I really had fun working Stitch 61 – Up and Down Feathered Buttonhole Stitch. Today was a nice, quiet day – had the baseball game on for a little bit – but I turned it off, just in case I jinxed them into losing.

Now I can go back to the lighthouse one and do some more stitching on that.

Take care,
